Our Story
Red SchoolHouse is a premium childcare centre that began its remarkable journey in 2004. Starting as a preschool without a track record, it was no easy feat to convince parents to entrust their young ones to the school. However, Red SchoolHouse’s story began with just 20 lovely children, cared for by a small yet incredibly passionate and dedicated team of early childhood educators. Within less than 3 years, the school reached full capacity and even had a growing waiting list.
Today, Red SchoolHouse has blossomed into a rapidly expanding network of award-winning preschools and childcare centres across Singapore, with locations in Upper Thomson, Woodleigh, Toh Tuck, Pasir Ris, and MacPherson, as well as overseas schools in China and Vietnam.
Red SchoolHouse @ Woodleigh, located at PUB Recreation Club, serves dynamic communities in Woodleigh, Bidadari, Upper Serangoon, Potong Pasir, and MacPherson. Like all Red SchoolHouse centres, it is renowned for its thoughtfully designed early childhood facilities and innovative programmes, creating a vibrant learning environment that nurtures each child’s potential.
Principal's Message
It is with great pleasure and honour that I step into the role of principal of Red Schoolhouse, a preschool chain steeped in strong values and character building.
As an educator with over 20 years of experience, I believe that the educational experience is just as important as the educational outcomes. In the words of American scholar John Dewey – education is life. New knowledge and skills are gained in successive stages of education but real success will be apparent in the “development of new attitudes towards and new interests gained in the experience itself”.
My belief is that all children possess immense potential regardless of their backgrounds, and they all have the ability to make a difference in this world. And it is the school, particularly during the early formative years, that sets the foundation in helping children develop values which define their character and purpose. It is the job of educators, to help children find their potential and unleash it. And Red Schoolhouse’s “Settling The Heart, Defining Your Child” philosophy completely encapsulates this mission.
A child’s first school is like their second home and it should be a place where they can explore, develop a strong sense of self, play freely with peers and build their self-confidence. The children at Red Schoolhouse are always our first priority and we strive to lay a strong foundation for children to develop holistically in a conducive environment.
All children can learn and all children want to learn. Hence we endeavour to build a strong partnership between the school and home in order to provide only the best learning experience for the children.
Together with my strong team of dedicated teachers, I look forward to working closely with parents to create a warm and nurturing environment that encourages excellence, creativity and the constant pursuit of integrity.
